How should scan speed be compared?
Account for frame format, channel count, scan mode and averaging. LSM 990 is specified at 13 fps for 512 × 512. AX R 2K provides 30 fps at 2048 × 512; 720 fps applies only to a narrow 2048 × 16 region.
Are all photographed modules included?
Photographs illustrate equipment configurations. Airyscan 2, Lightfield 4D, incubation, workstations and extra software must be specified individually. The Nikon listing selects AX R 2K with NSPARC; agree the lasers, filters, detectors and microscope stand.
What is needed for a quotation?
Specify specimens and fluorophores, spatial resolution and time scale, channel count, stand, objectives and laboratory conditions. Agree data processing and storage, installation, training and service. A price is quoted for the defined supply package.
