Laboratory and medical centrifuges
Laboratory and medical centrifuges are selected as a system of instrument, rotor, buckets and adapters. Begin with the protocol’s required RCF, sample container format, throughput and temperature conditions. The maximum figures of different rotors are not interchangeable.
Choose by workflow
Use the specialist sections for refrigerated and non-refrigerated instruments, blood bank work, clinical laboratories, high-speed microcentrifugation or large-volume processing. The required process and loading arrangement take priority over a model’s maximum rpm.
Configuration before ordering
List every tube or container format and the required number per run. Confirm rotor compatibility, permitted speed and RCF, adapters, lids, temperature control and programme requirements. Quote the complete working configuration so that alternatives can be compared consistently.
Choose the appropriate section
| Equipment | Selection focus |
|---|---|
| Refrigerated Laboratory Centrifuges | Refrigerated centrifuges for temperature-controlled sample processing. Compare XIANGZHI and LaboGene models, rotors, capacity and RCF. |
| Non-Refrigerated Laboratory Centrifuges | Non-refrigerated centrifuges for clinical and laboratory workflows. Compare rotor compatibility, RCF, capacity and safety features. |
| Blood Bank Centrifuges | Centrifuges for blood services: compare blood-bag capacity, compatible rotors, RCF, refrigeration and specialised cell-washing configurations. |
| Specialized medical centrifuges | Specialized centrifuges for PRP/PRF, hematocrit, cytology and blood-cell washing. Model, rotor and adapter selection for medical laboratories. |
| Clinical laboratory centrifuges | Clinical laboratory centrifuges for routine preparation of blood, serum, plasma and urine. Selection by capacity, rotor, tube format and required RCF. |
| High-speed centrifuges and microcentrifuges | High-speed centrifuges and microcentrifuges by XIANGZHI and LaboGene: up to 22,000 rpm, refrigerated and non-refrigerated. Rotor and RCF selection. |
| Large-capacity centrifuges | Large-capacity centrifuges for bottles, containers and blood bags. Benchtop and floor-standing models; rotor, adapter, RCF and refrigeration selection. |
Questions before selection and procurement
Why is maximum rpm insufficient for selection?
Compare the protocol’s required RCF for the specific rotor. Maximum speed and maximum capacity may refer to different rotors on the same centrifuge.
Are the rotor and adapters included in the price?
Check the quotation specification. List every tube or container format and the required buckets, adapters and lids.
How is the need for cooling determined?
Use the method’s temperature requirements, run duration and sample characteristics. Verify cooling capability and operating conditions for the selected instrument and rotor.
What is needed to compare quotations?
A technical specification and an equivalent equipment list for each option. Specify quantity, installation or use location, compatible accessories and documentation requirements. This supports comparison of the complete cost of the required solution.
Configuration and documentation
Record the exact model, version, standard equipment and optional items in the quotation. Request the manual and specification with the conditions under which performance figures are determined. Agree procurement documentation, availability, delivery, warranty and service work for the specific supply.
