Blood gas and acid-base analysis
Blood gas instruments measure pH and the partial pressures of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Depending on the model, they also measure electrolytes, hematocrit and metabolites and calculate derived parameters.
Consider the measurement panel, sample volume and type, throughput, reagent format, quality control and LIS connectivity. Cartridges, electrodes and calibrators must match the instrument version.
