Patient warming systems
Patient warming equipment includes the Care Essentials Cocoon CWS 5000 air unit, compatible CLM blankets and the CWS 109 trolley. The unit, consumables and trolley are priced separately. Select components for compatibility, warming area and required patient access.
New speciality options include CLM 0125 for lithotomy and laparoscopy, CLM 0127 adult full access and CLM 0133 spinal surgery. Manufacturer dimensions for CLM 0125 are 185 × 195 cm. The CWS 109 stand with basket is separately priced per unit.
Types and applications
CWS 5000 supplies air to the blanket, which distributes it over a defined area. This differs from infusion-fluid warming and electrically heated mattresses. Use compatible system components and monitor the patient according to the facility protocol.
Model and price comparison
Selecting the right version
Assess warming coverage, surgical access, patient age and size, port count and blanket stock. For CWS 5000, compare two fan speeds, five temperature settings, the H14 filter and mounting options. The 46 °C setting returns to 43 °C after 10 minutes.
Placement and operation
Allow space for the unit, safe routing of the 1.8 m hose and access to power. Inspect the filter and system as instructed. Store and dispose of single-use blankets according to manufacturer and facility requirements.
Supply scope and documents
Order the CWS 5000 unit, mobile trolley and disposable products separately. CLM 0101–0104 and CLM 0112 are priced per 30-unit pack; other current disposable models in this category are priced per 10-unit pack. Compare identical codes and pack sizes. Dimensions and port counts follow the supply price list; confirm the product revision when ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Are blankets included with CWS 5000?
Blankets are ordered separately by model code in this offer.
Does the blanket work without a warming unit?
No. Forced-air warming requires a compatible warming unit.
What does the panel temperature mean?
It is a system setting, not a promised patient body temperature.
How should blanket prices be compared?
Compare identical codes and pack quantities: 10 or 30 in the current offers.
