ECMO systems — selection and configuration
ECMO systems circulate blood through an extracorporeal circuit with a membrane oxygenator. Specialized departments use them for respiratory and/or circulatory support as determined by the clinical team.

Defining the package
- Control console and pump drive.
- Compatible disposable circuit, pump head and oxygenator.
- Flow, pressure, temperature and air monitoring.
- Cannulae, temperature management, gas supply and backup power.
Veno-venous and veno-arterial configurations serve different purposes. Permitted flow rates and duration depend on the circuit and its instructions. Operator unit weight is not the weight of a complete transport package. Verify Cardiohelp and Cardiohelp II separately; specifications are not interchangeable between generations.
