−60°C low-temperature freezers
This section contains six Vestfrost VT low-temperature freezers with operating ranges from −40 to −60°C and usable capacities from 71 to 476 litres. They form a distinct equipment group for laboratories, pharmaceutical quality control, research and production sites where an approved procedure requires a temperature below the usual −25 or −40°C range but does not require −86°C storage.
Applications for −60°C storage
Freezers in this category can be used for reagents, control samples and other temperature-sensitive materials when this range is specified by the manufacturer’s instructions or an internal storage protocol. The final set point should be selected from documented storage requirements rather than from the general name of the material.
The range includes upright and chest formats in several capacities. A compact unit is practical for a limited sample load and a small room. A larger chamber provides more working capacity for regular loading and future growth.
How to select a −60°C freezer
- Operating range. Confirm that the required set point is inside the specified range of the exact model.
