Portable medical refrigerators and freezers provide active temperature control for transporting vaccines, medicines, reagents and laboratory samples when the selected conditions match the material’s protocol. This category includes Evermed PRF/EPRF compressor models and Antech CryoExpress ultra-low temperature freezers. Equipment selection, supply and service are available in Ukraine.

Evermed PRF and EPRF

Portable compressor refrigerators and freezers for active temperature control. PRF offers compact 12 and 20 L options; EPRF extends the range to 82 L.

Antech CryoExpress

Stirling-based portable ultra-low temperature freezers. MMF-2 provides 25 L of space; ONE is a compact 1 L model with a built-in battery.

Power supply and transport planning

Evermed PRF and EPRF require continuous external power for active cooling; they have no built-in battery. Include the optional AC adapter when an EPRF will be used on mains power.
The MMF-2 specification does not list a standard backup battery. Plan a compatible external power source for the full route.
CryoExpress ONE has a built-in battery; actual runtime depends on the setpoint, ambient temperature, load and door opening. Confirm the required battery configuration before ordering.
Keep ventilation openings clear, secure the equipment and confirm the required cables, adapters, packaging and temperature monitoring.

Select equipment for vaccines, medicines and samples

Start with the permitted product temperature, usable volume, packaging dimensions, route duration and available power. The equipment range alone does not establish suitability for a vaccine, medicine or sample, and does not replace the approved cold-chain procedure.

Questions before selection and procurement

Which matters more: volume or temperature holding time?

Assess both together with the load and route. A stated holding time is meaningful only with its test conditions and system preparation method.

How should two transport configurations be compared?

Use equivalent loads, ambient conditions, preparation and test end criteria. Differences in these conditions can change the comparison.

What logger information is required?

Range, accuracy, sensor location, recording interval and report retrieval method. Define load acceptance criteria in advance.

What is needed to compare quotations?

A technical specification and an equivalent equipment list for each option. Specify quantity, installation or use location, compatible accessories and documentation requirements. This supports comparison of the complete cost of the required solution.

Configuration and documentation

Record the exact model, version, standard equipment and optional items in the quotation. Request the manual and specification with the conditions under which performance figures are determined. Agree procurement documentation, availability, delivery, warranty and service work for the specific supply.
