Dry shipper cryogenic containers retain liquid nitrogen in an absorbent material so biological samples can be transported in a cold vapour environment without free liquid inside the container. They are used for cryovials, straws and other compatible sample formats.
How to choose the right configuration
- match holding time and sample capacity to the complete route;
- verify sample holder, canister or rack compatibility;
- check protective case, temperature logger and applicable carrier requirements.
A dry shipper should be charged, conditioned and validated according to the transport procedure before samples are loaded.
