LaboGene ScanLaf Minerva Hermetic Class II Biological Safety Cabinet is a microbiological safety cabinet for processes that require total containment of hazardous material and physical separation of the operator from the work chamber. The system provides operator, product and environmental protection.
Total containment
Minerva has a fully enclosed, hermetically sealed and aerosol-tight work chamber. LaboGene positions the system for hazardous materials in Hazard Groups 1, 2 and 3. The specific application must be defined after risk assessment and review of the laboratory protocol.
Physical barrier and transfer air lock
- the operator works through gloves mechanically attached to the front screen;
- there is no direct operator contact with the work chamber;
- materials enter and leave through a side safety transfer air lock;
- loading, cleaning and decontamination procedures must be defined by the laboratory.
