LaboGene ScanLaf Sirius Compact Class II Biological Safety Cabinet is a compact individual work station for cell culture, microbiology and pharmaceutical processes. The Class II cabinet simultaneously protects the operator, material in the work zone and the environment.
Operating principle
Air enters through the front aperture, travels under the worktop and rises through the rear plenum. 70% is recirculated through the main HEPA filter to form the vertical downflow, while 30% passes through the exhaust HEPA filter and leaves the cabinet. Inflow protects the operator, downflow protects the product and filtered exhaust protects the environment.
Front access options
- 200 mm full work opening for easy access to the work area;
- front screen with arm ports for enhanced aerosol containment and reduced energy consumption.
These are two configurations of the same Sirius series, not separate models. The front arrangement is defined in the supply specification.

Options and configuration
PIR sensor, 750-1050 mm electrically operated stand or fixed 900 mm stand, external ventilation signals, potential-free contact, pressure switch and three sensors, carbon filter for organics in recirculation mode, sink, power outlets, USB ports and airflow sensors.
Important: Class II does not make the cabinet universally suitable for every volatile or toxic substance. Exhaust arrangement, filters and process compatibility must be defined before supply.
