Planning your equipment configuration
Select endoscopy equipment by specialty, anatomical area and intended examination or intervention. This section brings together gastroscopes, colonoscopes, bronchoscopes, hysteroscopes, resectoscopes and ureterorenoscopes, with links to individual models.
Select equipment and request a quotation
Describe your department’s requirements to prepare an equipment list for review.
Equipment categories and intended applications
| Category | Purpose and selection considerations |
|---|---|
| Gastroscopes | This category covers gastroscopes for upper gastrointestinal examinations. Selection criteria include insertion diameter, instrument channel, working length and angulation. |
| Colonoscopes | Colonoscopes provide visual examination of the colon. Selection criteria include working length, insertion diameter, instrument channel, field of view and angulation controls. |
| Bronchoscopes | This category includes flexible bronchoscopes and video bronchoscopes. Compare distal end diameter, instrument channel, working length and angulation. |
| Hysteroscopes | Hysteroscopes provide endoscopic examination of the uterine cavity. Compare telescope diameter, sheath design and instrument compatibility. |
| Resectoscopes | A resectoscope comprises optics, a working element, sheaths and an electrode. Compare diameter, length, viewing angle and working element controls. |
| Ureterorenoscopes | Ureterorenoscopes provide visual examination of the ureter and renal pelvis. Compare rigid or flexible construction, diameter, working length and instrument channel. |
Compatibility and site preparation
Treat the endoscope, processor, light source, imaging system and instruments as a matched configuration. Check the platform generation, connectors, working channel and permitted reprocessing methods. For reusable devices, plan cleaning, leak testing, disinfection or sterilisation according to the specific instructions for use, followed by appropriate drying and storage.

Configuration, pricing and procurement
For a quotation, specify the required configuration, number of instruments, installation city and services needed. Agree options, consumables, commissioning and staff familiarisation separately. Documentation, delivery times and warranty terms are specified in the quotation and contract. See the model page for its current price or quotation request option.
Questions before selection and procurement
Can scopes and processors from different series be combined?
Confirm compatibility for the exact models and versions. A shared brand or similar connector alone does not establish compatibility.
Which dimensions matter?
Compare working length, outer diameter, instrument-channel diameter and distal-tip characteristics. Rigid systems also require matched optics, sheaths and instruments.
Is a reprocessor included with an endoscopy system?
It is a separate item unless the specification states otherwise. Selection requires exact scope models, compatible adapters and validated reprocessing conditions.
What is needed to equip an endoscopy room?
Agree the procedure list, scopes and instruments, imaging platform, furniture, utilities, reprocessing and storage. Set quantities also depend on turnaround time and reprocessing capacity.
