VFS 048 SDD is a solar direct-drive freezer for preparing water packs used in vaccine transport. It supports the cold chain in locations with unreliable or unavailable mains electricity.

Included equipment and application
Two 180 W solar panels are included. Autonomy at an ambient temperature of +43 °C is 48 hours under the manufacturer’s test conditions.
The freezer compartment is designed for preparing and storing water packs. Vaccines requiring +2…+8 °C are stored in a separate refrigerator.
