Description

JEOL JEM-120i is a compact transmission electron microscope for prepared biological specimens, polymers and other materials. It combines a 20–120 kV voltage range with automated apertures and Butler assistance. HC prioritises contrast; HR prioritises resolution. Their specifications are configuration-specific.

Application and configuration

Select HC or HR before ordering: the stated 0.2 and 0.14 nm resolutions are not a single universal specification. Standard NEOView provides 4 MP at up to 30 fps; optional SightSKY provides 19 MP at up to 58 fps. The photo shows the main unit. Specify holders, workstation, additional cameras, licences, cooling and preparation equipment. Check the manufacturer’s site, vibration and electromagnetic requirements.
