TA Instruments Discovery HR10 is a hybrid rotational rheometer for viscosity and viscoelasticity studies of liquids, gels and soft materials. A magnetic thrust bearing and low-inertia motor support stress, rate and strain control. HR10 supports routine and research measurements with a 5 nN·m minimum torque and frequencies up to 100 Hz.
Key benefits
- A magnetic thrust bearing reduces measurement-system friction.
- The low-inertia drag-cup motor supports rapid dynamic response.
- True Position Sensor compensates gap changes caused by thermal expansion.
- Smart Swap simplifies exchange and recognition of geometries and environmental systems.
- FRT measures normal force without mechanical sensor deflection.
- A touchscreen, sample illumination and TRIOS simplify daily operation.

Applications and configuration
For polymers, pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations, foods, coatings and other materials. Select cone-and-plate, parallel-plate or cylinder geometries, temperature control, compressed air, circulator and computer for the method; the temperature range depends on the selected attachment. The photo illustrates a measurement setup and does not define the delivered package. Confirm TRIOS, licences and additional modes in the specification.
