In brief: Vestfrost updated selected VLS references to Ae/e, introduced a blue stripe for 2026 appliances, expanded EMS Levels 1–3 and added VLS 086A RF SDD, VLS 086A RF AC and VLS 096Ae RF SDD combined units.
Monitoring under the updated WHO PQS requirements
WHO requires a basic Level 1 electronic monitoring device for vaccine refrigerators, plus an integrated Level 2/3 device or a 30-day electronic temperature logger. Vestfrost offers EMS Levels 1–3: Level 1 provides local logging and USB access; Level 2 adds a local display and alarms; Level 3 adds remote data transmission. The EMS level and sensor package must be stated in the supply specification.
Humidity control is not yet mandatory under WHO PQS, but it is encouraged and may be reported in a prequalified product record. The current WHO records for the new VLS 086A RF units list passive humidity control.
Why the exact reference and PQS code matter
Prequalification applies to a specific model and configuration, not to a brand or range as a whole. VLS 174A AC and VLS 174Ae AC must therefore not be mixed in procurement documentation, and legacy RF 026/056/076 units cannot simply be renamed as 086/096.
How we verify compliance
- match the exact model to the current WHO PQS record;
- state EMS Level 1/2/3 and the sensor package in the specification;
- separately verify Ukrainian market-entry documents, calibration and service;
- for SDD, agree the PV kit, installation, protection and site sizing.
Compliance note. WHO PQS is an international prequalification of a specific model and configuration for immunization programmes. It does not replace Ukrainian medical-device conformity assessment. Procurement must separately verify the current WHO record, local market documentation, calibration and the exact scope of supply.
