Laminar flow cabinets for product and sample protection

A laminar flow cabinet or clean workstation creates HEPA-filtered unidirectional airflow that reduces the entry of particles into the work zone. This equipment is used for processes where protection of the product, material or sample is the priority.

Important: a laminar flow cabinet is not a biological safety cabinet and does not protect the operator or environment from hazardous biological aerosols. Such processes require an appropriate Class II biological safety cabinet.

How to select a laminar flow cabinet

Consider the process, equipment placed in the work zone, required width, airflow direction, filtration class, available space, lighting, noise and cleaning requirements. The final configuration should match the method and room conditions.
